Assessment process

There are different roles in an IPAT assessment as described in the figure. To summarize, a project or organisation can contact the NETLIPSE MT [see how to apply for an IPAT] if they would like to have an IPAT assessment carried out. The MT draws up a contract for the assessment and selects an appropriate and qualified Assessor Team. The IPAT customer prepares a Background Document for the Assessor Team, which marks the start of the assessment process. During the Site Visit, relevant project stakeholders are interviewed and the Assessor Team writes up an Assessment Report.

Experiences with an IPAT assessment were presented at several Network Meetings.
