EC-EPEC Private Sector Forum, Brussels, May 17th 2011

The European Commission (EC) and the European PPP Expertise Centre (EPEC) plan to hold the next Private Sector Forum in Brussels on 17 May 2011 on the topic of "Public Support Mechanisms for PPP", supported again by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).  EC and EPEC foresee to give an update on PPP-related activities at the EC, the EIB and at EPEC in addition to an open dialogue on the event's topic. The provisional agenda of the event is as follows:

09:30    Welcome by European Economic & Social Committee

09:40    European Support for PPPs

10:10    EPEC and PSF

11:15    Coffee  

11:30    The EU 2020 Project Bond Initiative 

12:30    Lunch

13:30    State Guarantees and other Public Support Mechanisms

16:00    Refreshments and close of meeting

Please note that in addition to this Private Sector Forum, a sub-event is being organised in Brussels on 11 April 2011 on the topic of project bonds.  This event is hosted by DG EGFIN and registration is possible at http://ec.europa.eu/economy_finance/consultation/index_en.htm.
