IPAT assessments in Sweden and Finland completed!

In November and December two IPAT assessments were completed successfully:

  • Skuru bridge project in Sweden;
  • Lahti Southern Ring Road in Finland.

Below you can find a short summary of the IPAT assessment in Finland.

IPAT Lahti Southern Ring Road
Five NETLIPSE assessors visited Lahti (Finland) to assess the project Lathi Southern Ring Road project. The project scope consists of the execution of three different contracts including the construction of two tunnels. After three days of interviews and a site visit the assessors elaborated their findings and recommendations in all IPAT project management themes. We hope that this assessment was very informative for both the project delivery organisation as the assessment team!

This IPAT assessment would not have been possible without the cooperation of Liikennevirasto (Finnish Transport Agency) representatives. We would like to thank them for organising this IPAT assessment and of course we would also like to thank all persons interviewed for taking the time to share their opinions and insights on the project. Also the open atmosphere in which all discussions took place was greatly appreciated by the assessors.

We would like to thank our hosts for their hospitality and for the interesting insights provided into Finnish project management practice. We learned significantly from the assessment and trust that the Lathi Project Delivery Organisation (PDO) will – strengthened by the results of this assessment – prove to be successful in reaching its project results!
